Members shopping for OTC items at retail can confirm that their item is eligible by downloading the myTotalBenefits app and scanning the item’s barcode with their phone camera to confirm that they can pay for the item using the Flex Card under the OTC benefit. The app will provide two important caveats to the member when they scan an item. First, the member must be in a participating pharmacy or retailer. Second, the member must have OTC funds in their account to cover the cost of the item.
